Our Holiday at the most beautiful coastal Town called Knysna

We have just recently come back from a wonderful holiday at a coastal town called Knysna in the Cape. I am yet to witness such beauty and would recommend a visit. I have included many pictures of the children, the Knysna heads, the Knysna lagoon where, during low tide, all the water rolls out leaving an expanse of sand to roam and enjoy. I have included a very special home that we have booked for our next holiday. Its views are spectacular and the interior of the home is like walking into a shabby chic french villa, Aga stove to top it all! We went to another coastal place called Tsitsikamma. This is where my husband used to holiday when he young. Its scenery is breath taking. Wow what a holiday and thank you to the universe for giving us such awesome beauty.

What a beautiful destination. How long were you able to stay? I don't imagine I would ever want to leave.

Hello

I have lived in Rhodesia(beautiful!!) been to Botswana, been to many coastal towns and lived in Cape Town but nothing compares to what we experienced. We stayed for 9 days and soaked up everyone of them. I would love to blog all the photo's . It was hard to leave but we will be going back. Nice to hear from you again.

Hi Kelly

I really wanted you to see these pic's. Africa is so varied in its beauty. You would love the Knysna forrest. There is a group of people who live up there and live off the land, teach their children and make their crafts. It was a lovely experience.

Suzanne,
Don't tempt me!!! This spot looks and sounds wonderful. !!!! You are so right when you say Africa is so varied in its beauty. In fact, this morning I saw my husband browsing job websites for jobs in his field in southern africa region. Some of the jobs that matched his criteria were in cape town...

Hi Kelly

I lived in Cape Town for many years and its full of its own beauty and culture. Knysna really appeals to my ethnobongo side. Come on... Bring that spinning wheel over!

Hi Tammy

You would just fall over and roll in the beach sand if you could go there. I know that I am gushing but its almost like I am the last South African to see the hidden secret...No matter which part of the area you looked at, there was beauty. The local History of Forest timber is facinating too. Going to the old church grave yards was also unbelievable. Finding ancestory going back to sometimes the 1700. If ever you do ever come out to our side of the world, you would need to go there...
