Lavender harvest and a little country

For the last couple of early evenings and still many more to come, I have been harvesting my many bushes of lavender. Planted right in front of my home, under our windows . The smell this time of year is heavenly. Of course where does my mind go...if its not 'Mousehole village' in England I get transported too, its France! I best do some travelling or not....It all seems to be right here at my front and back door. I plan to store and keep my harvest for lavender sachet's, hand creams and to flavor sugars for gifts. Just outside my kitchen grows a glorious English Country garden. Hollyhocks and bluebells, foxgloves and roses. Added to my garden this year are some beautiful Chinese lanterns. Just look at the folds in their petals. Each petal being of a different shape. They look so vintage. Summer here is Bright, warm, full of fragrance... delightful truly happy.

A happy day to you

Suzanne your garden is beautiful! I LOVE lavendar - what a wonderful idea to plant it right outside your windows. I think I just might do that this year when spring arrives here again. I hope my seed packet makes it to you soon if it hasn't already :) Happy Holidays.

I wish I was walking up through the lavender, brushing against it as I make my way to your door--I can just imagine the beautiful scent.
Thank you for the parcel, dear friend. It's been so hectic since I arrived home, but I will catch up soon and have to tell you, yours will probably be late for the holidays...that's my life ;-)! XOXO

Beautiful...so pretty.
I live in a climate that allows gardening all year long.
You have lovely photos and I'm thinking I should add a few more flowers to my yard after seeing your home - thanks for sharing.

Happy Holidays.

Dear Suzzane
Hope you are enjoying a bright, sunny day with that lavender smell on the gentle breeze and butterflies fluttering about. Summer seems like a far off dream here with us in the depths of winter - grey, wet days.
Just popping in quickly to wish you a very happy, blessed new year. Hope you had a wonderful family christmas and so far a beautiful new year. Love to you
Kelly
