The tale of Beatrix Potter

Once upon a time....~

Hilltop farm, Mrs Tiggy Winkle, Peter Rabbit , Jemima puddle-duck and friends have all made their way into my heart over the years of reading to my children. I have created a little basket of woolen friends for a special little someone.. These characters conjure up feelings of warmth, care and love~

"Now, my dears," said old Mrs. Rabbit one morning, "you may go into the fields or down the lane, but don't go into Mr. McGregor's garden." ~

Love to you~

Oh my goodness, these are adorable. I want some! I am collecting a Beatrix Potter Treasurey of stories for each of my children. I get the books whenever I see them at thrift stores and on markdown. I have ten children with one more on the way and we have loved the stories since #1 was a little one! She is now 23, married and expecting her own baby soon as well!

Are you going to be selling these anywhere?

Blessings,
Christi

Mrs. Tiggy Winkle is my absolute favorite Potter character.

I adore the drawing of her waddling away sans wash dress--all brown & spiny!

I love your knitted version, she is BEAUTIFUL!!!

Dear Suzanne, your little knitted animals are so adorable. I have not read any tales of Beatrix Potter but I'm sure they are delightful. My little boys are enjoying all the Thornton Burgess " Animal Adventures" of the Green Forest and of the humerus tales of Findus the cat and Pettson. Happy holiday crafting. xxx

Oh these brought memories. My older daughter adored Peter Rabbit, and when we took her out of school, aged 6, depressed, troubled and closed up, we did a whole term of work on Beatrix Potter for our first homeschool adventure. We learned about the stories, but also about the woman, about herdwick sheep, and lakeland farms, and the National Trust, and my little girl sat in the garden, and painted pictures of her rabbit.
They will be much loved - you are so clever!

These are beyond cute. You've captured them beautifully. They are so endearing. I know your children are loving them. I'm always so inspired by the Beatrix Potter stories. So many cozy memories of being read to in bed. Hope all is well with you and yours. Take care and big hugs.
