Our day of happy happenings

Today Livy and I collected some lavender from our garden as we are on the biggest Potpourri mission. Homemade gifts are being made early this year. We have idea's for everyone and it will to be the first Christmas that homemade gifts will be presented to all. I am very excited. We then went into the orchard and gazed upon our peach tree full of blossoms. I cannot wait to sit under that tree with the children and taste the sweet peachy flavour that only an organic peach gives. Then my dearest Brogan , my little chef in the making, came up with this beautiful sticky apple tart. She had seen it made on the cooking channel and produced one better than the top chef himself. Homeschooling allows such freedom to learn and explore. We then decided it was meadow farmyard feast day. Off we went to our local vegetable shop and filled our baskets with spinach, celery ,cabbage, radishes and carrots. The Angora bunnies jumped for joy, the chickens ran only like a hen can to the feasting spot. I then went off to the post office to fetch my treasure find . I brought two of Tasha Tudors DVDs "Take Joy"and "Take Peace" . Tonight when the children are asleep, I shall be watching Tasha's life with my wonderful hubby next to me . mmmm roll on 8 O'clock....

Good morning

Beth I do not make yarn yet but the plan is to breed and spin. They are too small to have babies so I have to wait for a while. Thank you Nichole for recommending Tasha's Dvds . I am so excited! Renee, thank you for visiting. Glad to see other Tasha followers exist. Yes Linds, I think Christmas this year will be really special. It has taken too many years to wake up to the homemade gift giving. This year is it! Thank you "T" for visiting. I am off to your blog for a browse.

Happy day to you all

Warm regards
Suzanne

Just look at those adorabable angora rabbits munching on their sumptuous feast. And Brogan's tart - wow! She is a talented chef. We wish we could have a taste! Homemade Christmas presents is a wonderful idea. I am striving to achieve that too!
Have a lovely week, dear friend!

Hi Suzanne, I like your blog! I'm going to stop by your etsy shop after this. My spinning wheel is an Ashford Kiwi. I got it because it was the most inexpensive double treadle wheel I could find. It's a great beginners wheel and very easy to use....(after a lot of practice!) I really like the Louet wheels, they are expensive but very well made and beautiful. I also love the Ashford Joy Double Treadle Wheel which you can view on ashford.com.... come to think of it that would probably be my first choice if I were to buy a new wheel right now! Happy gardening! Sara
