A Happy Birth day and Tutorial for a hanging mobile fit for a Queen
Happy Birthday to my Brogan~ her name originates from Ireland meaning pearl. We have had a wonderful start to this special teen Birthday. We are trying to create traditions for the older child now. I came up with this mobile being replaced by a throne and crown. Brogan was blessed with Swap gifts, Esty seller gifts , homemade gifts and brought.
~The Teen BIRTHDAY MOBILE~
I have a step by step guide for making the "Older child" Birthday Mobile (of course its cute for the littleies too)
I have not calculated the exact amount of ribbon you need as you might feel the need to make a smaller one and not have such a long length. so here goes...
you will need:~
~Organza ribbon ( this is best as it flows beautifully) silk of course would be luxury.. I used a length of 125cm/49 inches for the length of the ribbon
~I used the inner wood circle of an embroidery hoop your choice in size.
~paper roses/fabric I used the roses with wire at the back for securing to the hoop.
~ scissors
~ a tape measure
Cut your ribbon in lengths first. Tie each ribbon piece around the hoop. If you want, co ordinate colors. Once finished, secure the roses around the hoop. I then tied ribbon on each end of the hoop for hanging..
Please mail me if you need further help.
A happy day to all

Such beautiful birthday preparations for your precious Brogan. Happy Birthday to your lovely girl. May she have a very, very special year.
Suzanne,
That mobile is beautiful and happy birthday to your young lady.
I think I may play around to see if I can make roses of wool felt...
Thank you for sharing.

So beautiful. :) I love seeing all your children looking at the gifts together - so sweet, and a glimpse into the future for me! (mine are only 7, 4 and 1). Thanks for sharing; I love the mobile idea. :)
Looks like it was a wonderful birthday!! I love the mobile idea!
Suzanne everything is just lovely! My 6yo Lydia has been asking for a mobile above her bed, you have given me the push:-) And do elaborate about all the goodies in the wash bin--they look like little gifts from heaven!I immediately noticed the Tasha cookie cutters--I don't have those yet, but I do have her corgi and bunny:-)
How incredible!! What love and beauty! Very impressed---happy birthday to your precious pearl :)

A beautiful birthday for a beautiful girl! We have the same cookie cutters - you'll have to take some pictures when she uses them! I love, love, love the mobile idea! Jill is planning to have a knight tournament in June for her 18th (!!!) birthday and that will be the perfect thing for the Lady Knight birthday girl to sit under.
what a lovely idea to make a ribbon
mobile for their birthdays.
so many ways to make them feel
special.
you are very crafty!
Happy Happy Birthday to Mama and Brogan!!! I love the colors of her birthday mobile, I was just talking with my daughter about her new room we are planning on hanging a canopy veil over her bed and I was planning to have flowers, vines, bird nests and birds around the top. Such beautiful inspiration to see yours! Enjoy this time of celebration, I can't believe you have a teenager! I am sure you can't believe it either : ) Lots of love xo
Wow, that hanging mobile is beautiful Suzanne, thanks for sharing.
Blessings
Shirley
I'm so pleased you appreciate the book. And, I'm happy to be a part of a group of women that looks after each other. Kelly has a lot of guardian angels!
Suzanne,
I love this! It's so sweet - my girls would adore it!
I'm always on the look out for special activities/gifts/etc for my oldest as I think she has felt a bit "old" when we play with the littles' friends.
I think we'll make a Spring/Equinox project out of this - maybe Beltane - it kind of reminds me of a May pole.
Gosh, it's so nice to stop in for a visit.
Erin
So pretty to visit here! What a special birthday mobile and a nice big bowl of toys! Happy Birthday! love, Beth
Oh, Suzanne, you are a wonderful mother and your children are precious! The colors you bring into your family's life are beautiful...everything blends with harmony...what a peaceful home...happy birthday sweet girl and enjoy your lovely gifts perfumed with such love! smiles, maria
What a lovely birthday treat - I hope a great day was had by all.
Happy Birthday to your beautiful girl!! I wish her dreams to come true!
I haven';t been online for some time and I read all the posts I've missed! You just make my day every time I read you! I should read your blog instead of cup of tea each morning, so I can start my day on a positive note!
Thank you, thank you for being you and for sharing yourself with us, your readers!
wow the mobile is so lovely. Hope she had a lovely birthday :-)
Happy birthday. So is she 13?
I love the beautiful mobile. Happy birthday to your girl.
The mobile is so beautiful! Thank you for sharing and for the tutorial!
Tremendously lovely mobile! I am mentally filing this away until my twins birthday in the fall. What a special gift from the heart.
This is beautiful! My daughter's middle name is Rose and I sometimes get a little silly with it. She's 14 months old and I just came across a beautiful rose pendant and of course I got it for her, for her second birthday (which is still 10 months away!). Which is to say, that I suspect I'll find myself making this one sometime in the future!
I saw the Birthday crwon you made for Ari and I came over to your blog. I like it very much and will pay you a visit more often!
My tall girl will be 4 on Saturday and today I made the wreath for her - what a very very beautiful craft... I hope she will like it as much as I do!!
Thank you for giving me this inspiration.
Nina
