Wash Wednesday~

Little Livy and I often feel the need to hang washing on our old vintage drying stand. Sometimes while we hang clothes, we wonder who used to hang their clothes on this very same stand . We wonder if they too used to hang their washing amongst the lavender bushes for the gentle breeze to fragrance their items. We often just lay our clothing on top of the bushes too. The Sun is a wonderful friend. How it shares its warmth with us . Lovingly drying our items. Wearing lightly fragranced lavender clothing is a treat. So friends this is our very first "Wash Wednesday" hosted by Nicole from www.gardenmama.typepad.com. The link is on the right side of my blog.

A happy day to you~

I love your clothes drying rack...that is so cool. I use them as well, but mine are all wood. Your lavendar bushes are gorgeous! Wow! and what a great idea to put your laundry right near them. I love the smell of lavendar. Thanks for stopping by my blog with such a sweet comment. Hope you had a wonderful Mother's day!

I love your vintage wash line. It just dawned on me that I have one too. So next week I'll join all of you in the great outdoor washup. Take care friend.

I love the idea of lavender by the clothes rack (and what a nice treasure, btw!). I was hoping to get a permanent clothesline/trellis built by this spring, but work on the chicken coop has taken all our free time. So, two trees will have to do for now. But I dream of having fresh flowers (maybe climatis or morning glory) closeby.
Lovely photot!!

Goodness! I was just admiring that my teeny lavender plant was going to flower this year. Your bushes are astounding! I've been thinking of hanging herbs to dry with my laundry lately. Basil scented cloth diapers? Hmm. Maybe not. (:
