A Week of Celebrations

It was Aaron's 10 th Birthday on Tuesday. Great Excitement to be a 10 year old. As you can see by the Birthday picture, he sang with great gusto! We had our little friends over to celebrate with us. We also celebrated Martinmass on Wednesday. The children made their special lanterns. We had dinner and each family member halved what was on their plate and passed the other half to the person on the left. This celebration helps us remember the lesson of sharing and caring. We also celebrated our Garlic harvest. We love garlic and all the healing properties that go with it. I have hung the harvest high up above our kitchen cupboard. It has really given our french kitchen a touch of french country... We also celebrated our first berry pickings with our inhouse chef and baker Brogan, making us the most delicious berry pie with a sticky maple syrup sauce to pour over the top. We too celebrate our little Angora bunnies coming out of their little straw burrows. They have grown so much in the last three weeks. We ate our first nectarines this week too. Sweet and delicious...
A Very happy weekend to you all!

What a wonderful week you have all enjoyed. Happy, happy birthday to Aaron. My boys call him 'the boy with the chickens'! The rabbit babe is beautiful. Noah pretended to pick him up off the screen and give him a cuddle. Happy days, dear Suzanne.

Your garlic is so pretty! Our first crop is just sprouting, the 6th sprout came up today, we are so looking forward to our future harvest. Love your berries, and those pitchers are so gorgeous. As always, your bunnies are a huge hit around my house. I can't get over how fast they grow!
