My Shalom Cardigan
SHALOM~
I have decided to finally knit something bigger than a Waldorf toy. Introducing my first cardi ever...'The Shalom cardigan' that I have started making with my neigbour Linda I saw this pattern on Ralvery and I knew Linda had knitted it before. I needed help and she kindly offered. I have chosen to knit in chunky handspun wool. I love the colour plum which will be perfect for Winter. I am wearing this cardi in my mind already..a pair of jeans and knee high boots~ There is something good about community living and togetherness. I hope that although far apart, we can all come together in closeness and join in with making this Cardigan. If you are not a knitter, know that this is my first time too. Try find a Granny, Mother or Friend that you can bond with while knitting this.
Love to you
Suzanne

That is some luscious looking yarn you have there and the Shalom is a gorgeous pattern...
My Gran and I used to knit squares for blankets for the childeren in Ethiopia sitting b ythe coal fire I used to call them "granny squares" I thought I made up that name.
Beautiful colour...:)
I love this pattern its on my do do knitting list.
I have some green wool in my stash waiting to be knitted up.
I love Ravelry I gotten many beautiful free patterns from there.
I've been contemplating one of these for a while...I'm working my way up to a whole sweater...and then I'm going to make one for my little girl I think first...
Suzanne, I do love that plum color, one of my favorites:-) I might have to try this cardi too, but as we are entering late Srping early Summer in my neck of the woods it may have to wait a bit. Do try that tiny tea leaves cardi for one of your littles, super easy and pretty.
My sister is an expert knitter and is always at my "beck and call" when I need help. Sadly, she lives on the opposite coast from me, but one day I hope to be close again so we can knit all the time.
Interestingly, her favorite color is rose too. I love you, Susan
My dear friend,
How wonderful it has been to spend this knitting time with you... Your cardi is looking gorgeous, I love the colourway and I know it will be beautiful when it is finished.
Love
Linda

No way, you and Linda are neighbors. Two of my favorite blogging friends live near eachother? This news makes me so happy.
I love the shalom sweater, unfortunately my swedish body won't fit into it. I'll lay off the chocolate and see if I can improve the status any. Enjoy your knitting. I know it will look fab.
Here's sending you good thoughts and big hugs.
Aren't plums more dark purple or dark blue? I remember going to the store and buying plums that were light green. They were super sour.
