Once upon a time......

Nothing fascinated me more when I was a child than the sight of something miniature. I looked for the smallness in everything. It somehow gave me comfort. It was always magical. I remember reading an article about an old toy carpenter in England. He looked like his name could have been 'Giuseppe' who created area's in his home for children to experience the magic of wonder. So, when I look at areas in my home, I try to create moments that my children can suddenly spot and get transported to the world of wonder...Imagination is a gift. I encourage dreaming. Moments to escape reality...just for a short while~

I continue to work on my Christmas decorations. Here I have photographed some hanging ornaments for our tree. Daily I have ideas popping into my head that have to be made..Its a special time when I create. Its a simple time where I can work with color, fibre and hands. A connecting time in a favoured spot somewhere in my home. Just lovely~

A huge thank you to my special Mother..she knows how much I love Village life, flowers and English country gardens. She found this set of vintage postcards made in England.

Something magical happened today. A 'solar halo' appeared around the sun. We watched in awe at this wonderful sight...

I love the little mouse door Suzanne, I showed my husband so he can make one for the boys, it's adorable. Happy Birthing Day and Happy Birthday to your little angel. Sasha turns 8 in February. The children's birthday celebrations are always so joyous, we have our little rainbow bridge silk that leads the children to their presents.

It's always more special to make our children's gifts, Sasha always tells me he prefers the ones that I make for him, your decorations are lovely.

I still hope to some day send you something I have made.

Magical sun halo!

Dear Suzanne, I have missed visiting you here. And always so happy to hear from you. Everything so sweet and beautiful in this post, tiny gnomes, and birds. I love the ornaments you have made! I think I will focus on gift making for November so that we can enjoy lots of happy ornament making time when December comes.
Enjoy your creating! I hope you have a very happy weekend.
Lots of love, Renee

Hi Dear Suzanne. I saw over at Linda's that you had a halo. How magical and it totally fascinated me.
I love all of your little people and their worldly goods. It's very sweet. I really like that little door in the floor board. ;)
Be well and continue to enjoy the season.

What fun sweetness! I was wondering if all my little corners of inspiration around my home were too much clutter...but I think not! I'm glad to see that you enjoy them too.

Oh I so love your crafts. I am even now trying to think up ideas for my own little house, in our damp and cold English village, and wish I had half your inspiration!
