Walking in the right direction

Do any of you have a live in resident gnome...Well, I have..My Son Aaron. Granted these pictures were taken a while ago but he still LOVES these boots..As for the woolly cap. It has a permanent spot on his head. I love this boy. More gentle you cannot get, he will share his last morsel with you at the drop of a hat. He is bright and I know I am raising a thinker. He loves his Mom and is not afraid to show it. He will make someone a wonderful partner in years to come. For now he is learning, learning from his wonderful Dad all those things that make a boy whole and happy. His play is wholesome and what comes out of his mouth makes such sense. I often have conversations with him that I feel like I am talking to a switched on adult. He makes me laugh. Laugh so much that I ache. So today dear friends my post is about my Son. Please look to your sons and treasure them. I know at times he will disappoint, make me angry, make me sad but I could not have chosen a more precious soul to be mine...
A happy day to you all

We have one son and five girls, we call him the prince and I feel exactly the same way about him. I love being his friend as well as his Mum:-) Lovely post!

i feel the same way about my boys. they are so different than most other boys i know. sam, my oldest, is so good. i cannot bear the thought of him ever leaving my home. what will i do without him? recently we went to his grandparents house and his uncle, whom he hadn't seen in a few years, had to sit and "babysit" my fourteen year old for a while when we went out. when we came back, the uncle just went on and on about how he was afraid he'd have to sit and listen to my son talk about video games and girls and other silly, unimportant stuff. but no, my son had sat for two hours teaching his uncle about sustainable living, wild edibles, rock climbing, alternative fuel and his uncle was just floored. he said he had never learned so much in all his adult life!! that was a proud moment! :0)

Thank you... with tear stained cheeks, I have just gone in to my sleeping little boy's room to give him an "I love you" kiss. He looked so beautiful in his slumber. You inspired a moment I will remember forever. Blessings and magic to you and your boy.

How I can relate to all of you!

We refer to our "Sam" (we actually call him Samual) as our prince, too.

And though he's only 3, he oozes compassion, mama-love, respect, emotion & sincerity.

Cheers to us for raising beautiful little souls!

suzanne,
What a sweet tribute to your son. My oldest and youngest sons have been on my mind lately as my oldest turned 16 on Friday and our youngest son turns 2 in one week. They are both so special and present their own gifts and challenges - yet it is all joy.
Warm wishes,
Tonya

Such love in your words, dear Suzanne. I know my boys would just love to hang out with 'The Boy with the Chickens' as they call your Aaron. He chose just the right mama to walk by his side on his journey.

Hi Suzanne,

You capture your son's gentleness so well in the picture of him holding the butterfly. I know your heart is full with love for him.
