Aarons Wind Vane

Aaron is thoroughly enjoying learning about the weather. This week he learnt how wind is measured and made a wind vane. It now hangs in our Old Faithful backyard tree. ...with all the other projects the children have completed this year. I purchased this Summer book a while ago and we have had so many lovely days of fun using it. I highly recommend it . Olivia made a birthday calendar and is counting down eagerly. Noodle is healthy and bouncy. Growing by the day. Our new silky chickens have transformed as you can see. You just have to LOVE them. Our egg laying girls are looking very healthy. Our days are Sunny and Summer is showing its bright warm self. I love this Season ....
Happy week end to you all dear friends

The wind vane is a brilliant idea! I love the backwards counting numbers...did she do that with crayon or pastel, or...? :)

Hi Jennifer

The wind vane activity is in the Big Summer book. I prepared Olivia's calendar by writing the numbers in white bees wax crayon. I then gave her some stockmar water color paint and the numbers magically appeared. She really did enjoy seeing them appear.

Have a great week end Jennifer
Warm regards
Suzanne

Hi Suzanne,
That is certainly a fantastic wind vane! So glad Noodle is well too. Ah, all those chickens. Delighful animals to have in your surroundings. Sol and I dream of ducks, Noah and Leo of donkeys and Mark of a simple life! Enjoy those summery days!

The wind vane is fantastic. The chickens look happy and so does the cute puppy. Here's to summer. It feels so weird to say that because here it is rainy and cold and very fall like. I have a fire in the fireplace. Enjoy!

Oh my! That puppy looks just like ours when he was little - a puffball! What breed?

You all look like you are having lots of fun!
