When I first started Waldorf homeschooling, I had no example of a little ones play area. Not having a Waldorf Community to belong too, I so longed to see other play areas. I read and browsed where I could. I hope Olivia's play area will help someone else needing to set up. I still have loads of baskets filled with fleece and wool and blocks that I need to add. I have a wooden toy box filled with dress up clothing too. I would also like to add her alphabet drawings to the wall as she learns each letter. She still needs an area like this. I have noticed a strong connection with having this area in her bedroom rather than in our allocated schooling area.

Thanks for sharing your playroom pics. Very nice ...
Oh this is such a lovely area to play in! The little ironing board...it's cute, cute, cute. Waldorf-y toys are the best, aren't they? :)
Such a lovely area Su, it really looks beautiful, Liv is going to love this new space, have a great week my friend.

You have such a lovely home. Good to see that you are doing some blogging.
A beautifully created play area, Suzanne. It is wonderful that Olivia still needs this space. In our play area, I find the toys the boys turn to time and time again are the play cloths we dyed ourselves and the bean bags we made. We added these four years ago now and they are still the firm favourites with them all.
Such a lovely play area, i am in the middle of saving up to buy a few kitchen pieces and have baskets and boxes of toys as such scattered throughout the house. Thanks for the inspiration!
It's such a lovely play area. Very engaging and inspiring. Thanks for sharing it with us.
your play area is lovely! Thanks for sharing. I have been wanting to put one together for my little ones. I really liked how yours turned out!
What a nice space she has. We have a space separate from are school area as well. Thank you for sharing. Maybe I will post with some pictures some time as well.
Thank you all
I would love to see your play areas. Tammy I love Waldorf toys. I see so much out there that I would love to get. I know you can make a play area with baskets filled with the most natural goodies found on treasure hunt walks. I have that too.
I hope to see all your play area's some day.
Thank you Linds
Warm regards
Suzanne
Oh, it is so lovely to see your childrens play area Suzanne! It looks similar to some of the things in ours! I love the sunlight streaming into your photo!
Can I come over and play? What a cozy play area!
Our "play area" is in the living room, as our home is very tiny...
but they have pretty much only wooden toys. There are a few plastic toys that are instruments...but I used to be so fanatical about plastic that we don't really have any now.
This place looks so comforting and fun!
Loved your home made hammock too! I want one!!
Thank you Jen , Lisa and Nichole.
I do believe apart from our little ones investigating our own homes and kitchens, they do need an area for themselves. I find Olivia here alot lately. It warms my heart to see. She is a mother in the making. I love the frog child!
Happy day to you all
Warm regards
Suzanne
What a fun playroom for your little one! She must be so productive in her kitchen and with her ironing :)! Thank you for sharing those pics, I love finding inspiration in the ways that other children play.
Thanks for visiting my little space in the blog universe, I am so happy to have found yours and look forward to reading more about your adventures!
Aside from dear Mrs. Tiggy Winkle...Mr. Jeremy Fisher is my most favorite Potter character! :)
Wonderful pictures...
This is really a great idea from you - to share the photos with us. I just fell in love with all the wonderful waldorf things - so I want to make the room of my babygirl but I googled nights and found only a few photos. So I am really happy that I found yours.
