New life down in the meadow

I have been itching to post that our Silky chickens have been sitting on eggs for the last 21 or so days and too our surprise, have hatched and are still hatching little gorgeous chicks. Andrew was doubtful as to whether they would sit and be responsible being their first laying.....As I kept saying..A Mama is a Mama is a Mama.

Yes Tammy (from Laugh, live, learn and love), these are the same little ones that made your day earlier this year.

I love Silkys! They remind me of my childhood in Northern California. I love the photos. The chicks are so adorable! I love your saying, A Mama is a Mama is a Mama.

Aaaaaaawwwwww.....they are darling! I had the photo of the chickens in the basket as my computer wallpaper for the LONGEST time. Something about the photo just speaks of home, and comfort, and country living, and peace. I'm so pleased you have babies now. :)

Hello dear friends

New life has such beauty. Being our first hatchlings, we are in awe. What a wonderful experience for my little ones. I watch the mama protect and nurture. Its heart warming that we all have that instinct.

Thank you for visiting

Happy day to you all.

Warm regards
Suzanne

Oh how cute Suzanne! Our hens have only hatched one chick in the past four years. He is now our rooster and he and his mama are our most loved of all the chickens.
Enjoy! Sara

Oh, my goodness, Suzanne! Those very silly, very sweet, very little silkies! I love the decorative little puff-ball on top of their heads! The chicken breeder who designed this funny little bird most certainly had a sense-of-humor. I love the picture of the wide-eyed chick in the box with the Mama, and the picture of the chickens in a basket.
