The Bugman is back!

Aaron has had a dry spell for a while. He was estatic to see that we have lizards living under our pot plant in the courtyard. This big fella just flew down whilst on a walk in the garden. He looks like he has a mission to accomplish. Water anyone??? Yes ,there was conversation about him being the dad looking for food or searching for a new home for his family.... I think Aaron has his groove back. What could be next............

Hi Tammy

We have been bug free lately..either that or the boy lost his touch for a while. I'm glad he's back too... I love hunting with him.

Hi Suzanne,
I know Sol will be most impressed when I show him this picture in the morning. He is a beauty and must be a daddy on a mission to seek supplies for his family. Our bug man is crazy about lizards too and adores trying to catch them. None here sadly! He would have a fabulous time running about catching lizards with your Aaron. When we were in Kariba last he was after the geckos and also chasing after the lizards basking on the garden wall at my parents house in Zambia. He managed to catch a few and then let them go again very soon after. I hope both our boys always love little creatures.

Hi Kelly

Aaron's "big find" would be a baby chameleon..I had one as a child and he would love to find one walking in the garden. I am sure when bug hunting is a passion when they are little ,it stays with them. I do hope that oneday they can do a hunt together. Holding thumbs for your big trek...

Have a lovely evening Kelly
Warm regards
Suzanne

Well, Suzanne, I showed Sol this picture of Aaron's grasshopper or locust and he loved him. He also almost jumped into the computer and under your flowerpot when I read him the bit about the lizards. We are off to France on Friday and I wanted to show Sol Aaron's beach finds when you went to Cape Town. I'll hopefully show him tomorrow - he was really interested. Sol also really admired your butter churner and the picture of Aaron with the chick. He is rockpool crazy right now and carries four books with pictures of rock pool creatures about with him all the time!

My little guy loves to hunt for lizards, bugs, tadpoles you name it but usually will nudge his sister to pick it up first! ; )

Hi Kelly

Tell Sol there is a secret to rock pool treasure finding. Aaron is there at the crack of dawn(if its low tide that is) All the fresh new life and best shells await you. Rock pool hunting is his favourite too. I have two really good books called 'The seaside naturalist' by Deborah A Coulombe and 'The Burgess Seashore book for children' by Thornton W Burgess.

Have A wonderful time in France. Oh boy another one of my wish destinations. Looking forward to the blogging posts afterwards.
